    First-time home buyers can save in a registered FHSA to buy or build a qualifying first home tax-free, within limits; first-year participation room is $8,000.

    Home Buyers' Plan (HBP)

    The Home Buyers' Plan lets you withdraw up to $60,000 from your RRSPs to buy or build a qualifying home.

    The home buyers' amount is a non-refundable federal tax credit for first-time buyers; you can claim up to $10,000 for a qualifying home bought in 2025.
